Amy came out from Fresno with her family and not only did we have the honor of her shooting with us for a wedding, we had the great chance of making her get in front of the camera for a change. They made us laugh so hard. Between another beautiful night at the beach and beach-goers making us laugh like crazy too, the whole shoot was a treat.
Kristie and David joined us from Portland Oregon with a lovely crew. The entire wedding was splashed with color and on an absolutely gorgeous day on the West Side of Maui. Originally from South Africa, our groom was entirely handsome and couldn’t have looked better with Kristie in her dreamy dress on his side. The children were incredibly photogenic (as children often are) and the ceremony was blessed by two visiting dogs from down the way ( a sign of course, of a wonderful future.)

We just finished and sent off an album for April and Jimmy and we enjoyed working with them so much and on a boat nonetheless that we thought we would share a snippet from their June 1st wedding and their album.

We found Ryan in the lobby sticking out of the crowd by looking so handsome in his tie. When asked if he was a groom, he grinned widely and simply said “yeah.” He couldn’t have looked happier. Jodi stunned us with a beautiful and classic dress that flowed nicely on both sand and water (we we’re so happy that she was game to go in the water.) Jodi and Ryan have been together 2.5 years and they we’re extremely excited to be getting married – just as excited as we were to be there. We were absolutely in love with this couple. They both were so down to earth and sweet which made them amazing to work with. They were finally getting married after a few years and were all smiles while doing so. Although we offered to call out from work for them and give them another week, they politely declined – they are coming back soon anyway and we’d love to see them then. And oh how we loved that bouquet.

We are going to say these three things: beautiful dress, beautiful people, and gorgeous light. How lovely is this couple from Scottsdale Arizona and their small yet colorful wedding. The small details were incredible and we could just see the genuine love spread across their faces. All this, and at one of our favorite beaches equals great times.

Chelsea had such fun shooting Christine & Karl’s 25th vow renewal. Not only was it a complete surprise for Christine, their two eldest children sang for the ceremony. The older daughter (the younger was the incredibly cute flower girl) planned the entire event, adding hints of their first wedding. In fact, Christine wore the exact same dress and the color scheme exactly the same, making the vow renewal a very unique event. Thank you to the Hyatt for always having a beautiful property to work with and wonderful people around.

My goodness did we have fun with this young couple coming in from California. We get excited over pink, and we get double excited over hot pink shoes – and hats off to the dad who pulled off the pink tie so handsomely. Thank you to The Knot for bringing us Mikaela and Keith and letting us enjoy the entire view at Gannons.

Ryan and Kerrie came from the hot Arizona desert to be by our cool waters. They were wonderful and so willing to enjoy the Sheraton with us Friday night. This always makes us happy. Check out the cutest baby outfit and baby ever that they so quickly acquired after the ceremony (it was a nephew) and the beautiful light that came throughout the day. Thank you so much Ryan and Kelly for letting us be a part of your day, and to the Sheraton for putting on another great wedding.
