Our Styles
of Photography
Photojournalistic
Shooting photojournalistic is the least intrusive or camera shy
people. This is one of the most fun ways of shooting photographs
and one of the least intrusive for camera shy people. There are
few formal poses or staged events. We focus on what is happening,
when it is happening in order to catch that special smile, the tear
rolling down the cheek, and the joy of the moment. This style of
photography is very popular with modern weddings and a wonderful
way to capture the entire party for group events. The photographs
and the albums created from them tell a story in their own right.
No words are needed but the message is clear.
Traditional
Traditional photography focuses on you. You are usually at the
center of the image and are always the focal point in it. Traditional
photography includes many posed shots that make up those memories
we are all familiar with . . .
The first kiss,
the ring exchange (or in Maui the lei exchange),
the wedding party,
the first dance,
the toast and cake cutting.
Environmental
Shooting photography in an environmental style emphasizes not only
you but the natural beauty of the surroundings. Whether shooting
an intimate wedding or grandma’s 90th birthday with all of
the grandchildren, Maui provides any setting you desire . . .
From beautiful waterfalls,
to upcountry pastures,
to lush tropical rainforests,
to the wide blue ocean,
the colorful Haleakala crater,
and color-drenched sunsets,
Maui has it all. Keep the beauty of the island as part of your special
memories.
